'United We Stand' Original Oil Painting

At first glance, the title ‘United We Stand’ may not make much sense for this painting. I reside in Utah, in the US, and there is a huge sense of intolerance here. This painting captures my feelings that we can and should all accept and love one another. I believe that every single person has value and is beautiful. And I also believe that working together, we can heal the world, at least a little bit. While it’s not a traditional rainbow, I hope it conveys a sense of allyship. It is my hope that the endless number of colors, varying textures, and “cracks” accompanied by gold can represent our ability to work together – to stick up for and support each other no matter what gender expression or preferences, color, nationality, religion, political standpoint, or anything else.

We are stronger together. We are more beautiful together.
